Catching Up

I want to highlight some of the fun adventures we've had since getting home from England!

**If you are married and have a young child or children, I want to encourage you to go on date nights! Find a babysitter you trust if you don't have family nearby, or they aren't available.
I also want to encourage you to bring your babe(s) with you on all your adventures! So many times it's easier for me to stay home where I know Penelope won't have a meltdown. But then almost every time we go out she surprises me with a positive attitude and then ends up sleeping way better at night because of all of the fresh air!**

Zach and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! We have been together for nine years! CRAZY!!

Fish Tacos @ the Raven!

We've had river, lake & Glacier Park days!

Uncle Beau fly fishing at Isaac & Meg's.

Uncle Isaac always photo-bombing my pics!

Smoke from the wildfires rolling in.

Emlyn found a caterpillar.

Penelope and I also went to Glacier with "Aunt Lollen"

I was trying to get a picture of the gopher, you can hardly see him!

Heaven's Peak

She was happy up until that point. Stinker.

Penelope and I joined Aunt Mimi & cousins Emlyn & Isla for some huckleberry picking!
Can I just say my mother-in-law is amazing for scoring this Sherpani hiking pack at a garage sale!?

Since coming home from England we have been trying to break Penny of her extreme attachment issues to me. She also quit standing/pulling herself up (I think because I had to hold her all the time in England, so she got used to it). It has been a struggle to let her cry things out, and re-teach her she has the strength to stand. A couple of days ago we had a huge breakthrough and Penny pulled herself up all over again!

This past weekend we went camping for Zach's birthday. It was amazing to not have cell service. Seriously. Everyone should turn their phone off every once in a while. It was so refreshing.
Penelope, Zach & I drove out on Thursday night and secured the best spot next to the lake. :)
Then as the weekend progressed family and friends showed up and camped or just hung out for the day.
Saturday we drove to a different lake and hiked to a waterfall.
Saturday night there was a HUGE thunder & lightening storm, all three of the kids slept through it!
As we drove back home on Sunday we kept saying how awesome the weekend was and how we didn't want it to end. It was exactly what we needed; to rest and just be together.

My birthday present to Zach.

Uncle Beau going out to fly fish.

There have been many more good times, I just didn't have the pictures to tell the stories.
All in all this summer has been crazy fantastic!
I hope you've enjoyed your summer as well!
If you haven't, get out and make a great memory!
